Jupe-Skirt aims are : to reduce prejudges about men wearing masculine skirts : to show that wearing a skirt is not related to sexual orientation, or a psychological problem, or a dressing tradition, to show that we can stay a male with a skirt,
to obtain skirts for men in men's departments in shops. to allow men who are beginning to wear skirts in public or who wish to wear it, to have an informative support to present to those around them or on forums and websites, - ...
So you will find here : A maximum of information on the wearing of skirts by men : men in skirts from prehistory to the present day, interview of skirt wearers around the world, men in skirts in film, television, video games and toys, explanatory articles, news ,..., where to find skirts for men today : list of stores selling or manufacturing them, interviews of designers of skirts for men, ... a summary of actions taken since August 2004 to reach the objectives, interventions in the medias (television, newspapers, ...): Medias are the best way to get information and thus make a difference,
We think that things will proceed thanks two inseparable elements :To show the example : those who dare out today wearing a skirt in public or showing in the medias (websites, television ,...) show that a man in a masculine skirts it's possible, that the skirt can be adapted to them, that going out wearing a skirt in public is possible to do. To inform without showing is not to allow others to get an idea and then to judge if a man can be handsome in a skirt. To inform : to show without explaining is giving free rein to prejudges and inventions of all sorts on who comes out in a skirt.
