  • Who are you ?

Fashion designer, I followed lessons for 3 years in a sewing school (I obtained a federal certificate of capacity), and then I left to Paris (1 year) to another school ESMOD. I learned the basics of design and that's what motivated me to start my own collection. I opened my sewing workshop in 1998. I did retouching then tailor-made clothes.

I have 4 parades in Neuchâtel and then I took part in other projects in the vicinity. What I like the most is obviously creation. Unfortunately, I do not currently live with this activity.. I teach manual activities on textiles in a secondary school. My dream would be to work for band, I work on it, but it requires the energy and above all patience ... What I like the most in this business, which is my passion, is to draw, to do the model and sew and see the realisation of the idea that was in my head ... I henceforth only men's clothing that inspire me enormously. I do unique models and I love reworking tissues...

  • Where did you get the idea of skirts for men ?

I always thought that men in skirts were magnificent especially punks in kilts in London. I fled fashion trends and I have my own original world, that’s how came the idea of skirts for men. This is certainly a trip to Scotland, which inspired me because I love kilts. Then some designers such as Yohji Yamamoto and Jean-Paul Gaultier...

  • How do you define the style of your creations for Man and how can you present your models of skirts for men ?

I have punk-grunge-gothic influences. I only work on black with a touch of red. My models are long flared skirts. With cuts, patchwork, pieces of fabric sewn on top. I also created skirts with pleats, inspired by kilt. I especially like "pantajupes» trousers and skirts above. Certainly more suitable than the skirt, it is the stage before...

  • Who buys or is interested in your skirts for men

I sold some skirts to people rather Gothic styles, but most bought one of my creations for special evenings and not to wear it every day, unfortunately. I also have women who bought for their husbands. And for musician friends...

  • What are the reactions of men and women when (they) see skirts in a fashion show for Man ?

Most women share my point of view that men are beautiful in skirts, men feel good inside, but do not dare to wear them. It is simply because of the looks on the street, comments etc., especially in a small town like Neuchâtel.

  • Do you know men who wear skirts regularly or daily ?

No, I don’t. I only know people who wear it occasionally.

  • What would you say to men, who, in some cases, still do not dare wear the skirt in public ?

The main thing is to feel comfortable in his clothes. Over the person is at ease in the skirt and the less concerned he will be about glances and quolibets ... But beware, it is better to avoid a skirt too pat to the eye (genus flowers printed or too short, etc.). You should know how to coordonate with the rest. The appearance should be elegant and not old-fashioned.
