Saturday night at the village fair and Sunday morning at the supermarket.

This July, I wore  skirts very little. Indeed, having tinkered every day, it was more practical to be in shorts or pants. Nevertheless, the  village fair this Saturday is an opportunity to show a Scottish skirt that I made.

Children were on holidays with grandma and grandpa, we were only Caroline and me going to this fair taking place not farfrom our house.

Walking quite fast, we went up people going in the same way as we go. By chance they were neighbours of ours, a couple of retired people recently installed here, with their daughter. We have good relations with them and I think they haven't seen me wearing a skirt till today, and I don't know if they knew it.

Our neighbour (man) and another man we see are a little more far. We start to talk With our neighbour (woman) and her daughter who had no reactions towards my skirt, only a small glance. our neighbour man and his friend stop to wait the ladies. We greeted each other and our neighbour introduced us his friend who is another of our neighbours . We see him quite often in his car but we never had the opportunity to talk with him. At this time, we talked with him till the moment when we met his wife and their grandchildren. He asked his grandchildren to greet us, they kissed us. Then, we went both different ways in this fair which ended by a fabulous fireworks.

On sunday morning, the "Leader Price" supermarket is open. We went shopping, me with the same clothes as the day before. We arrived before the opening time, at the same moment as a cashier who saluted us. she had already seen me wearing skirts in the supermarket so she is not surprised.We left the car and went through the entrance door which was still shut and there was the cashier and another woman who seemed to know the cashier. we talked with them for at least 5 minutes waiting for the opening.

 

What was funny during this morning is an old lady who standed still from feet to head and her mouth wide- opened seeing my skirt. I walked through the shop and only her feet moved enough to allow her to watch me. Is she in love or is she schocked ? I will never know !
