man in Gothic skirtThe Gothic movement occurred between the late 1970s and early 1980s in the United Kingdom and continues today with varying degrees of vitality, mainly in Europe but also in slightly different forms in the world.

This sub-culture movement after punk and new wave, inspired by the German Expressionist cinema, the fantastic and the Gothic novel, is characterized in particular (but without limitation) by a dark aesthetic, macabre, sometimes provocative. The latter translates into a dress code, gothic fashion, mainly based on black and dark colors, often accessorize with nails or mystical elements considered, and seen from the point of view as sexy, provocative, frightening or eccentric .

In this movment, you can see men wearing long black skirts that can be found in gothic shops.
