homme en jupe égyptien

(3200 to 525 B.C.)

The climate was quite mild and men were often naked. Nevertheless, the existing clothes were simples and lights.

Until 1500 BC. . (Former Empire and Middle Empire), the masculine cloth was composed of a Shenti, linen cloth draped around the waist and held by a belt.

Around 1580 BC. , men wore the Calasiris, ample sleeveless tunic.

The Sindôn, rectangular linen cloth, was the Egyptians' coat. It was worn as a skirt tied around the waist either laid or fixed on shoulders or was suspended by the neck.

As for the soldiers, they wore the loincloth that could be accompanied by a leather apron.
