voiceover : Jerome Salome's idea is this one :

Jerome : . That's not the man who is feminizing, that is the skirt which is masculinizing.

Voiceover : And wearing a skirt, it cames to him naturally :

Jerome : When I was...around High School and it was very hot, I was a bit jealous about girls who could have their legs outside and being in a more comfortable garment than trousers.But I didn't dare so I didn't wear. That's when I started to live by my own, not to my parents, that I tried, I said " that's very good" and that's all.

Voiceover : But it will take several years to Jerome Salome to dare going out wearing a skirt, stucked before all by himself.

Jerome : We have prejudges. We think " that's only women who can wear skirts so why I feel like wearing one ? Even if deep inside ourselves we know that it is for comfort, the pressure of prejudges is so strong that we apply them .

Voiceover : And then he meets his wife who supports him in his idea, he sees that on the Internet other men wear skirt. So he builds his website then his association and goes in the street

Jerome : The reaction, contrary to what I thought, is not necessarely negative.

Voiceover : This really confirms him in this choice. Basically, he claims the right to wear a skirt as women wear trousers.

Jerome : That's thanks to women who dared wearing trousers at a time when it was not usual that women nowadays can wear both . Today's skirt wearers are the first ones, but, tomorrow we think that the next generation will be able to wear skirts or trousers.

Jerome's comment :

Jerome Edent contacted me by email so I participate to a report about the wearing of a skirt by men. I went to the radio for a recorded discussion between the journalist and me. That's later that the report ( talking above), being modified for the radio, was broadcasted, more precisely on monday, april 13th 2009.
