Contact is an fm radiobroadcasts mainly in the north, Pas-de-Calais (where I was born), Picardie but as well on the Internet. It publishes most of techno music compilations since 1998 due to its popularity in the choice of music dance / techno / trance.

 
After a chat on MSN with Renton, a moderator of the radio, he offered me to speak on air to talk about my wearing of a skirt. What I accepted, of course. It’s an opportunity to make know men wearing skirts and to reduce prejudices.
   
To that aim, he based his program of January 9, 2008 on fashion.
 
An hour before my speech: "Will be with us Jerome who wears skirts, and who is quite normal."
 
10.15 pm :

 
Renton: "we are on the phone with Jerome. he  inspired my question of the day . We discussed, a little bit off the air on MSN, it was last night. Because Jerome has something in particular: Jerome wears skirt. Jerome Hi! "

 

Jerome: "Yes, good evening"

 

Renton: "How is it going Jerome ?"

 

Jerome: "it's going very well"

 

Renton: "Well, we should explain, Jerome, it's not a game, this is not a joke, you are not a fool ... it has a very specific purpose that you wear skirts, Would you explain us ? "

 

Jerome: "In fact, I decided to choose between wearing trousers or skirt, that is to say to choose between the convenience of pants and the comfort of the skirt. So, I wear the skirt when I want, when I go for a walk, when I do my shopping ... "

 

Renton: "and your wife, what is her  opinion about this ? It is still quite unusual a guy who wears skirt!"

 

Jerome: "she loves!"

 

Renton : "She loves ... all right .. At least that’s done! And for people, in general, what's the look?"

 

Jerome: "So ... it goes from the person who will make fun of me to the person who will congratulate me"

 

Renton: "Generally speaking, you have more people who make fun about you ,  I think ?"

 

Jerome: "Not especially. Actually, I would say that I do not see a lot of reactions, contrary to what we may think. And what I see is mostly people who think that I am an   homosexual."

 

Renton: " yes, you can not escape to this. "

 

Jerome: "This is the first prejudice that may exist on men in skirts"

 

Renton: "Exactly, it's not because you wear skirts that this is  the” Cage aux folles!” Otherwise, you built a website in order that we can learn about this, about the fact that we can wear skirts whereas we are men. "

 

Jerome: "Yes, absolutely."

 

Renton: "What's the address?"

 

Jerome: "JupeSkirt.eu"

 

Renton: "JupeSkirt, so ... Skirt is “jupe”  in English, point E U. Well, we will go and have a look on it. If you want to give your reactions about Jerome’s adventure, the fact that Jerome wears skirts, he enjoys it, he totally assumes it, write on renton.... fr, SMS to 61 ... direct keyword and 0 800 ... Thank you very much Jerome "

 

Jerome: "You’re welcome."

 

Renton: "and take photos about you in skirt and make it work!"

 

Jerome: "OK"

 

Renton, joking : "I am sure you are beautiful with your little  legs !"

 

Jerome broke into laughter

 

Renton: "Jerome see you  soon, bye bye"

I would like to thank Renton for his open- mind, his tolerance and for his positive presentation of the subject; especially at this time when a lot of young people listen to ContactFM radio.
As I said to Renton I won't miss the occasion to go and visit him at contactFM's studios when I will go on holidays up to the north of France this summer.
