End of March 2008, Alexandra Bogaert from Metro newspaper distributed free at the entrances / exits of subway in France (Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nice-Cannes, Paris and Toulouse) contacted me to make an article on the wearing of a skirt by men. Indeed, the association HEJ had contacted her and she wanted to talk with me. She interviewed me and I sent her pictures of me wearing a skirt. I explained my journey in the wearing of the skirt by men. She wanted to know more about the association HEJ that I co-founded with Caroline (my wife)and another wearer of a skirt (current treasurer of the association). I explained that left it to allow other wearers of skirts to continue for what the association has been created and I invited her to contact the current President of HEJ, what she was about to do.
The article is clear and direct. Nevertheless, I regret having been the only wearer of skirt in photos and the only one to be quoted, while the article was intended to talk about the association HEJ (see the subtitle of the article: "an association defends its coming back into men's wardrobe ") and follows a letter sent by the associationto the newspaper Metro. I created HEJ (the site i-hej.com) several years ago and spent all my personal time to it for three years. I am flattered that my work was mentioned, but nevertheless surprised when it is known that an association is a group of people and we know that when I am not member of this association anymore (explanation: the journalist and the associationhaven't be able to join each other).
Let me make a correction on the birth of HEJ: it is written that Hej exists since June 2005, the journalist certainly included the date of creation of the domain name of the site i-hej.com. However Hej existed previously with the domain name hej.isalome.com since August 2004.
The article was published in both the Newspaper (with mention on the cover) in several major cities (pictures below) and on its website (link below).
